BSI held the Summer 2007 BSI Investor Forum, at the Grand Hyatt in Melbourne and Hilton Hotels in Sydney and Brisbane. 6 innovative companies presented their opportunities to 150 potential Investors.
The Companies presenting have three things in common:
They have innovative technology, are leaders in their area and are in need of funding to take the next big step.

Comfort Concepts explaining the benefits of Posturelite thereputic products that improves posture and alleviates back pain. The products use the patented self inflatable valve. David identified that his past mistakes was to focus on too many opportunities. The key is to focus on one opportunity or market niche and make it work.
Jay Hennock and Ashod Apakian of GlobalIP Video. Global IP Video is a software company that has developed leading edge audio and video internet commuication technology. They intend licencing their technology to Gaming, Dating and Social Networking Sites, Telcos and Developers wanting to incorporate video comms into their products. Global is in talks with VOIP telco Talqer.

Webko with Ashod. Webko is a web development company that has developed SEMM - the Search Engine Marketing Machine - that has an aility to Scale!!. Based on working prototypes, the model is to role out its own portals and generate revenue through contextual advertising.
John Skillecorn of
Hydrokinetics has developed patented products utilising thermoelectrics (TECs), heat exchangers and renewable energy. The product utilises 2 metals charged with heat or electricity. It is able to generate heat, cold and power using the noiseless heat pump. This technology is used for refrigeration, airconditioning or electricity. The growth is exponential as ZT increases and has multiple applications.
Neil Maclachlan and Dinesh Kumar presented the Intelligent Sensing opportunity. Sensing by Audio (Cyber-ear) or Movement (Cyber-eye) or handwriting (Signature) that tracks unusual sounds and movements and verifies users by their writing style. Strong applications in defence and security. IS developes pattern recognition systems for new sensing and computing platforms. The system reduces security man-hours and improves performance.
