Key Focus of Outcomes
A key focus of these outcomes is to build mechanisms that transform and reinvigorate the early stage capital market place and the ICT export market. Core to the BSI belief is the need for the Centre to build on the following elements:
- Encouragement for young ICT entrepreneurs;
- Raising the size of the investor pool and their appetite for early-stage;
- Creating a cluster where innovation thrives;
- Allowing young ICT companies to demonstrate the commercial opportunity of their technology in order to attract larger later stage VC investments;
- Facilitating entry onto the global stage – ICT exports;
- Targeting strategic partners (e.g. private sector organisation providing marketing budget or access to distribution channels) by creating an SME Linkage program.
Digital Harbour and The BSI Centre will be the physical focal point in the Melbourne Docklands that will focus Investors on our ICT young entrepreneurs.
